We need your help- let us all take care of our golf course!

As per Clinton Country Club bylaws practicing on the golf course is not allowed.
There have been numerous examples of golfers playing multiple balls and using the green complexes for chipping and bunker practice. There has also been some excessive damage to fairways from multiple iron shots.
With all the extra play this year the course is being stressed more so than usual. Please be vigilant in fixing divots and ball marks.
We are fortunate to have such a refuge during this pandemic let’s treat the course with the respect it deserves.

May 19, 2020

Dear Members-

The golf committee has been meeting regularly to discuss the golf operations with a focus on the health and well being of our members, employees and community.   We have been using the PGA “back2golf”  publication as  guide for many of our decisions.   Below is what we anticipate happening over the next couple of months:

  1. We are tentatively planning to restart the following activities beginning the week of June 15th:
    1. Ladies Day
    2. Men’s Day/Men’s League
    3. Member Events/Tournaments beginning with the Senior Club Championship.

Beginning this week in anticipation of this opening-you will be able to begin signing up for these events.   The Pro shop will be providing more information on how to sign up for the following events:

  1. Men’s league
  2. Ladies Day Events
  3. Bracketology
  4. Senior Club Championship
  5. Spring Member/Member-postponed until July 18th and 19th

Unfortunately-we are canceling the following events:

  1. June Men’s One day MG
  2. July Men’s 3 Day MG
  3. June and July Outside Events
  4. All Group Clinics/Camps through July

Please note that the week of June 15th is tentative and we are meeting June 9th to discuss further and will update you if we need to make any changes to the plans.

Additionally-beginning this weekend the Pro Shop will be enforcing tee times by class of membership and their associated restrictions.   Please reach out to the Pro Shop if you are unsure at what times you can play.

Tee times are expected to continue throughout the summer and we thank everyone for their patience and cooperation.   Remember the following  while playing:

  1. Repair your ball marks
  2. Replace your divots
  3. Smooth out the sand with your feet
  4. Keep up with the group in front of you-as we get busier we will be enforcing the rules regarding slow play
  5. Please keep power carts and push carts away from the greens, bunkers, tees, etc. and follow all posted signs

We will update you as conditions change and please feel free to reach out to the golf committee at golf@clintoncc.org with any questions.

Sincerely-

Clinton CC Golf Committee
